A small WC tiling project was carried out in Emersons Green, BS16. The previous WC appeared worn, outdated, and in need of modernisation. In addition to the floor and wall tiling, Flex Tiling undertook the removal of the existing bathroom, the remodelling of the walls, the installation of the marble worktop, and the construction of niche areas. This work was performed in collaboration with an electrician and a plumber.
Challenge, Materials & Conclusion
Tiling a WC or downstairs toilet requires a certain level of agility and physical resilience, making it unsuitable for every tiler.
An experienced and skilled tiler will understand the intricacies of tiling small rooms and take the necessary time and care to achieve a high quality finish that meets the expectations of their customer.
It may come as a surprise to some that tiling a small room can at times take as long as tiling a large space, primarily due to not having a long run of uninterrupted wall/floor space to get a large number of meters in. In a confined space such as a downstairs toilet, there will likely be fixtures like the toilet, sink, tight corners and pipes which demand expertise when tiling to ensure a seamless and aesthetically pleasing result. Finally, the confined area may lack proper ventilation, prolonging the drying process of adhesives and grout, which can affect the overall timeline of the project.
Revamping your WC can work wonders for both aesthetics and functionality. The right tiler can enhance the look and feel of your small space. From modern patterns to classic designs, the right tiling choice can create a sense of openness and visual appeal, making your WC appear larger and more welcoming. With the right craftsmanship and attention to detail, a WC remodelling can elevate your small space into a delightful oasis, combining style with practicality for an enhanced bathroom experience.
